EdTech Ireland was launched on the 27th May, 2022 at the Dingle Digital Hub, in the southwest of Ireland. The team behind the organisation are EdTech veterans - Tim Lavery (Exploring EdTech Ireland), Jonathan Dempsey (Pivotal EdTech), Robbie O'Connell (Principal, Department of Education), and Dr. Daithí Ó Murchú (European EdTech Consultant).
This team, led by Tim Lavery as CEO, with the assistance of a highly experienced Advisory Board, works with the Irish-based EdTech/LearnTech community to foster a sustainable ecosystem for innovation and development in education technology.
EdTech Ireland is Member of the European EdTech Alliance, the network representing more than 2600 European EdTech organisations, and the EdTech Innovation Hub, which was established in 2024 to support the EdTech Ireland Network by delivering a broad range of activities and services aimed at enhancing innovation in the edtech/skill/tech sector.
